Cited as the most famous press club in the world, the Foreign Correspondents’ Club Hong Kong (FCC) has a rich past, dating back to 1943. Journalist members have been eyewitness to history-in-the-making across Asia. The FCC, one of Hong Kong’s most well loved private clubs, is housed in a beautiful, colonial building in Central and is still an important media hub that provides a neutral platform for an impressive selection of local and international speakers across a range of topics. Membership is open to journalists and non-journalists. Reciprocal clubs exist across the globe.

Facilities: Main bar, lounge, verandah restaurant, jazz bar, Chinese restaurant, private dining rooms, health club, quiet workroom
Entrance fees: $3,000 for journalists and correspondents to $250,000 for corporate transferable
Monthly fees: $1,100 (in recognition of the relative hardship faced by many journalists in Hong Kong, the club allows a certain number of applicants to enjoy reduced monthly fees)
Waiting list: Yes, length depends on the type of membership
