Hong Kong government offers heavily subsidised beginner, intermediate and advanced Cantonese courses for just $100 at the International Social Service’s HOPE Centre in Wan Chai. The 50-hour course, held over about 17 sessions, focuses on learning spoken Cantonese with a local teacher, covering topics such as food, culture, shopping, travel and weather.
