From 19 to 22 June, the legendary Executive Chef Daniele Cason was set to bring his cult Tokyo pizzeria to the city for a limited-time omakase-style pizza experience \u2014 and tables were snapped up almost instantly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hosted in a transformed chef\u2019s table setting complete with a gourmet pizza oven, the pop-up promised a rare degustazione menu of Roman-style pizza alla pala, topped with seasonal ingredients like warayaki tuna, wagyu beef, and duck sausage. In collaboration with Shine students and instructors from the Vocational Training Council, the team has created beautiful egg tarts made with locally sourced Yuen Long eggs\u2014celebrating Hong Kong\u2019s agricultural roots while supporting Shine\u2019s humanity programmes, which provide kitchen training and employment opportunities for disadvantaged youth.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The egg tarts are priced at $35 each, with all proceeds supporting Shine\u2019s Vocational Training Centre. They will be available for purchase from 3:00pm to 4:30pm on 3 June at Shine Lions Club Caf\u00e9. After the launch, just 50 tarts will be available every Friday, by pre-order only. The Tomato Plum Salad is lighter but no less punchy, with juicy tomatoes, crisp cucumber and whipped feta, all tied together with sour plum vinegar and perilla. For something heartier, try the Pad Thai-style silver needle noodles, tossed with tiger prawns, tamarind and sakura shrimp\u2014it\u2019s wok-fried and full of bold flavour. And don\u2019t skip dessert: the Margherita Ice Cream Bao is weird and wonderful, layering tomato jam, basil and cheese ice cream inside a fried bao. Unexpected? Yes. Worth trying? From 16 to 20 June, Chef Salvatore \u201cSas\u00e0\u201d Fiata and Chef Antonio Brancato reprise their award-winning collaboration, following recent acclaim on the 50 Top Pizza Asia-Pacific list. Expect Fiata\u2019s signature Bronte 5.0 ($198)\u2014a pistachio, mortadella and ricotta masterpiece\u2014served alongside ANTO\u2019s Rustica ($198), layered with salsiccia fresca and smoked scamorza. Also on the menu: the Provola e Pepe ($198), crowned Pizza of the Year 2024, and the whimsical Baby Popeye ($188).
