With its location at 41 Mount Kellett Road at The Peak, the hospital boasts a tranquil and beautiful environment surrounded by the beauty of nature. As its pleasant surroundings help make a mum\u2019s birth experience extra special and soothing, many couples have commented that they feel like they are having a \u201cbirthcation\u201d under the care of the dedicated midwives, with great food and magnificent views to boot. Their partners are still able to visit them during the birth journey \u2013 including spending time in the room with the baby, cutting the cord in the delivery room or operating theatre, or even having skin-to-skin contact with the baby early on. Private room guests can also stay overnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hongkongliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/tlYr21Zc-1030x686.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-52020\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Outbreak response 2022<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The hospital, praised for its open, modern approach to maternity care, allows mothers-to-be to choose their own obstetrician. Apart from their self-arranged package, Matilda International Hospital has introduced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.matilda.org\/en\/about\/promotions-and-packages\/1612-special-maternity-care-packages\">Special Maternity Care Packages<\/a> in response to the coronavirus outbreak, the package is specially designed for mothers who wish to transfer from public hospitals and prefer to deliver their baby in a private hospital amid the outbreak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mothers joining the special packages will stay in a standard room and they can join the fixed-price Matilda antenatal care package and have a designated obstetrician arranged to care for them throughout their pregnancy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The care doesn\u2019t end with the birth of the baby \u2013 upon returning home, new mothers can continue visiting their obstetrician for wound assessment and postnatal check. Mothers will receive physiotherapy; baby care should they need to head out; nutritional support and dietetic consultation; meals from the a la carte menu; complimentary gifts; and limousine service at discharge as part of the package.
